Neurology Research Programs

Research is a major component in the Department of Neurology, with most of the faculty actively engaged in either clinical or basic science research. (See the faculty VIVO profiles for more information on individual research interests.)

The BRaIN Imaging Center has state-of-the-art NMR, MEG, EPR, and optical imaging available to the neuroscience researchers.

Domenici Hall houses the COBRE grant at the BRaIN center and completion of the new Neurobiology facility has completed a major center for translational neuroimaging research.

Integration of the human studies in the Neurology clinical area and MIND Research Network (MRN) with the animal studies in BRaIN (COBRE) provides a unique environment for collaborative, translational research that should result in program project-level grants, which will be the cornerstones for the Brain and Behavioral Health Signature Program.
